Connect Mailchimp
Mailchimp is a marketing-automation source. It brings your marketing audience into event attribution and folds email opens/clicks into engagement — so a registrant who first touched you via a campaign is credited correctly.
What you'll need
- A Mailchimp account you can authorize.
Connect
- In SYSOI, open Connections → Mailchimp → Connect.
- Authorize SYSOI in the Mailchimp window. The card shows Connected.
The Mailchimp connection is org-wide — there's no event pinned on the connection itself. You map specific audiences/segments to events next.
Map audiences/segments to an event
- Open Records → the Leads tab.
- Add a row that pins:
- - an Audience (list),
- - a Segment,
- - optionally a Campaign (to capture opens/clicks),
- - and a label,
to a SYSOI event.
You can map several rows per event.
Pull
Click Pull on the Leads tab. For every mapped row:
- members land as marketing-audience signals on the event — pure attribution
(they don't advance the funnel or change scores);
- if the row has a campaign id, opens and clicks land as engagement
signals (de-duped per member).
When the same person later shows up in a registration pull, SYSOI advances them to registered automatically — the marketing touch stays as the earlier attribution point.
Verify
After a pull, open Records for the event — mapped members appear, and contacts with campaign activity show email opens/clicks on their timeline.
